What you hate about Cambodians

I hate how people think every Cambodian kid is affiliated with gangs. When people think about Cambodian, they automatically think, "ghetto" or "gang"

I hate how we love to show off or compare each other. It leads to stupid decisions. Example: Driving a Mercedes around town while you live in a run-down apartment.

I hate how we gamble so much. We use our government money just to gamble it all away. Thats why we are still in the slums of Long Beach.

I second the gang issue. Our parents went to hell and back, all for their children to be sociopaths. It's like the Cambodian parents survived Pol Pot for nothing.

I also dislike how clique-ish Cambodians can be. Maybe I look weird but I never really got along with any group of Cambodians throughout all of my time in school. (Besides college) The cliques seem to segregate themselves in Cambodian-only groups and don't even look at Cambodians that don't dress, act, or think the same as them. I used to be given dirty looks until I walked away from their "spot."

Any other gripe I can remember is broad and more of an Asian thing.

We came from one killing field to enter another killing field...

About the clique thing too, we are so much into our cliques that we start to hate each other more. It becomes a competition between groups. You can see that with UCC vs. Cambodia Town, Bryant Ben vs. the whole Cambodian community, etc.
