Weird and Immature

Postby T on Wed Jun 04, 2008 7:37 pm

So Obama won the democratic nominee. Out of spite, many Clinton supporters are going to give their vote to McCain.

Now McCain seems far more capable than the previous Republican. But isn't it a little immature to vote out of spite? I'm sure some of the Clinton supporters don't really agree with conservative ideals.

Man. Politics suck.

Ah, the ignorance of Americans regarding politics is still strong... I guess we'll see another Republican in office for another four years.

As much as I support Obama, I definitely think McCain will be our next President b/c America isn't ready for a Black President. McCain will win only because he is White.

It's hard to say whether or not America won't accept a black president: There ARE black people elected in office. Polls in New Hampshire showed that the majority of blacks supported Hilary over Obama. Obama has certainly gained support among whites in some states. Obama DID beat Hilary... Etc.

From that, it looks like people are looking past race. To me anyway.

If there is any kind of prejudice in people's votes, I'd say it's more against a person's party. Conservatives seem to really, REALLY hate liberals/democrats and vice versa.

No doubt there are racists votes in the South at least. But I'm pretty skeptical that Hilary supporters are doing this because of race.

I really think they're just being babies. But I wouldn't be surprised if race really was the issue. After all, they're putting their precious abortions on the line by flocking to McCain, plus most women who chose Hilary only did it cause' she's a woman. That's another form of prejudice already.

People say "People will vote for Obama because of his color and people will vote for Clinton because she's a female"

I personally have like no view on voting and what not.

Not really a Politics Person
