Religious Differences

Postby T on Tue Jun 03, 2008 9:16 pm

Would you let religion get in the way of a relationship? Does it matter to you at all?

Had I not experienced it, I would've been naive and said that I would disregard religion and focus on the actual person. It was the same last time and man I was wrong. So terribly wrong. Religion is often part of the person no matter what.

Too much bickering, I don't appreciate being labeled as immoral, tired of nagging at me to change, tired of explaining my beliefs, tired of person getting angry at me for my beliefs, dealing with judgmental family, etc.

Religion plays a huge part with Hoan's parents. They don't like her dating me because I am not Catholic.

My parents don't really care. They only care about the person and not religion. My mom cares more about race though. My dad doesn't care, as long as the person is loving and caring.

If I love someone and they want me to change my religion, I will. I don't care much about religion either. I'll get baptized, I'll attend mass, I'll go through communion, I'll do a Bar Mitzvah, I'll even pray to Allah five times a day to the east. Religion doesn't matter to me.
